Broadbridge Heath travelled to Sevenoaks with both sides showing inconsistent form, Heath were without Mason Doughty, Bailey Cotton, Ben Royall through injury and Brad Peters through availability but welcomed new signing from Three Bridges Ben Holden into the squad.
The Bears started well but both sides seemed to be lacking in the final third, the first shot coming in the 12th minute from Sevenoaks which was blocked by the Heath defence. Then in the 12th minute a free kick by Yuvi Mann caused a goal mouth scramble and a poor Sevenoaks clearance fell to Sam Hards whose shot with his right foot was blocked but then smashed a left footed effort past Perrin to give Heath an early lead 0-1.
In the 28th minute a soft penalty was awarded to Sevenoaks for a high challenge by Holden, the Sevenoaks attacker made the most of the challenge and the Official gave the penalty, Neche scored the resulting kick. 1-1
Sevenoaks were now in ascendency and only a Hadfield save on 36 minutes stopped them going in front but the half finished level.
The 2nd half started very similar to the first, a Young long range strike was comfortably gathered by Perrin on 50 minutes, then in the 52 minute a long throw by Sevenoaks was only partially cleared and when the ball was turned back in Hadfield came for the ball and didn't claim it and in the resulting scramble Neche poked home for his 2nd of the day to give Sevenoaks a 2-1 lead
In the 57th minute Matt Hay ran at the Sevenoaks backline and was fouled inside the 18 yard box and a penalty to Heath was awarded, Young stepped up and scored to level the scores again. 2-2
In the 65th minute Sevenoaks were awarded another penalty, this time for Handball against Lewis Hyde, a hopeful shot hit Hyde under the arm from point blank range right on the edge of the area and the official deemed it a deliberate hand ball, Neche stepped up to score again for his Hatrick and probably the easiest hatrick he will ever score. 3-2.
Heath pushed forward and in the 78th minute Yuvi Mann was clean through on goal but the assistants flagged went up, then down then back up again, Mann played on but put his shot wide and the final outcome was he was offside but a foul in the build up was given to Heath?
Heath had a Holden shot cleared off the line with 5 minutes remaining and that was the last real chance to get anything out of the game.
After the match Heath manger Chris Simmons said “This game was just like the Whitstable one, we didn't match them physically, lost too many duels and wasn't good enough with the ball, yes the injuries and decisions went against us today but that's no excuse, we were not good enough today".
Next up for Broadbridge Heath is a home Isthmian south east fixture against Herne Bay on Saturday 24th October Kick Off at 3pm.
