Next up for the Bears is a Pitching In Isthmian League South East Division One fixture when we welcome Whitstable Town FC to The Air Engineering Stadium on Saturday 3rd October.

This will be the first ever meeting between the two clubs with the Oystermen being promoted back to Step 4 football as champions of the South East Counties Premier Division last season.

Whitstable Town currently sit in 20th place in the division, with two wins and six points from their opening six matches, those wins include a 3-1 home win against Deal Town and more recently a 3-2 away win at Faversham Town proving on their day they are a match for any team in the division.

Their last match was played midweek in front of close to 400 supporters when they played host, once again, to Deal Town this time in Round One of the Velocity Cup and the result was more emphatic than their first meeting with the Oystermen winning by 4-0, goals scored by Kenny Aileru, Kane Rowland (2) and Robbie Rees.

Broadbridge Heath were also in Velocity Cup Round One action in midweek when we came back from 0-2 down a half-time to Isthmian Division One South Central side Raynes Park Vale to draw 2-2 and then, unusually for the Bears, we actually went on to win a penalty shoot-out by 5-3 converting all our five penalty’s.
