Next up for the Bears is a Pitching In Isthmian League South East Division One fixture when we welcome Peacehaven & Telscombe to The Air Engineering Stadium on Monday 31st August.

First of all congratulations to Peacehaven & Telscombe FC on their promotion from the Southern Combination League last season returning to Step 4 football in the Isthmian League after a 10 year break.

The Tye have so far played two league games starting their campaign with an impressive 4-0 home win over Whitstable Town. 4-days later they travelled to Sevenoaks for a league match against Merstham (groundshare) and went 3-0 up before half-time but the Moatsiders hit back in the second half to draw the match 3-3.

The last time the two sides met in a league match was on 25th February 2023 when Heath travelled to Sports Park and came away with a 3-0 win, goals scored by Kyle Sim, Sam Lemon and Charlie Martin, for the record both Sean Terry and Louis Evans were starters in that match too but regulars Brad Peters and Mason Doughty were missing for some reason.

Broadbridge Heath’s last match was on Saturday 22nd August when we played host in a league match to newly promoted Horley Town. Matt Hay gave Heath the lead on 3 minutes with his first goal of the season, Mason Doughty made it 2-0 a minute before the break and then added a 3rd minutes into the restart. Horley pulled a goal back through former Heath player Ben Dyson before Pemi Yakubu completed the scoring from the penalty spot.
