Heath manager Chris Simmons was forced to make 2 changes to the starting line-up after Tuesday's great win against 8th place Ashford United to face 3rd Place Sittingbourne with Adrian Todd coming in for Matt Penfold and Jake Lindsey returning to the starting line up for the unavailable Callum Dowdell.
The pitch was in great condition after lots of hard work again put in by our volunteers as a buoyant Heath side faced promotion chasing Sittingbourne'
The visitors started brightly and forced several corners early on and the first chance fell on 10 minutes when a glanced header from another corner clipped the outside of the Heath post. But Heath started to settle and on 17 minutes Jake Lindsey beat his man and stung the Visiting keepers finger tips from 20 yards.
Then a few minutes later a good combination between Lemon & Doughty ended with Doughty just shooting wide of the Sittingbourne post, in what was Heath's best spell Lemon put Doughty through on goal but the striker blazed the shot over the bar.
On 32 minutes a great free kick by El-Moghaebel gave Sittingbourne the lead from 20 yards out and things got worse for Heath only 7 minutes later when a quick break saw Mitchell May put Sittingbourne 2-0 up just before Half time.
The 2nd half was fairly even and end to end with a couple of half chances or long range shots for both sides but nothing clear cut and Sittingbourne go home with the 3 points
