Next up for the Bears is a Sussex Transport Senior Cup, Third Round match when we welcome Hastings United to the BodyMould Community Stadium on Tuesday 18th November.
I think I’m right in saying this is the first time “The U’s” have played at Broadbridge Heath although we have met twice before at “The Pilot Field”. The first time was in the FA Cup on the 24th August 2019 when a very evenly contested match saw United win 2-1 with a late goal, Heath's goal-scorer on the day was Alfie Jones.
The next time we met was just a few weeks ago on the 21st October when a late Zac Young goal was enough to secure Heath a 2-1 win in front of a crowd of 357. Heath’s other scorer was Louis Evans.
That was also the last game in charge for Hastings manager Lee Carey who was replaced soon after by David Altendorff who many will know from his time as manager of Lancing and Loxwood FC.
Results have improved under the new management with just one defeat from their last five league matches which has seen “The U’s” move out of the dreaded bottom four relegation places but they suffered a setback on Saturday going down by 4-0 at Herne Bay.
For those travelling there is FREE Parking next to the Stadium.
