Heath were on the ascendency from the start but didn’t trouble the Oakwood goalkeeper, Ben Fisher too much until the 16th minute when an in-swinging Luke York corner from the left was punched clear by the goalkeeper, the ball came out to Ethan Cumming who played it wide right to to Abou Absim J Brill his right foot cross found its way to Nathan Pickering to fire home a right foot shot from 12 yards.

The Bears doubled their lead 5 minutes later when another York corner from the left was headed home by Pickering from 6 yards to double his and his teams score on the night.

Just before half-time Heath added a third when Fisher’ goal-kick was intercepted by Harry Kent who powered a header forward allowing Nathan Kennedy-Tamplin to run on to and place a left foot shot wide of the Oakwood goalkeeper and in off the post to put his team 3-0 up at the break.

Heath dominated the early stages of the second half but were unable to add to the scoreline until the 90th minute when Fisher’s clearance was closed down by Absim J Brill the ball came out to Kennedy-Tamplin wide on the right who played it back across the face of goal for Deren Bedir to score with a right foot shot into the empty net, his first for The Bears.

So attention now turns to the League Cup semi-final against West Division Ferring; that match will be played at Shoreham Football Club on Thursday 30th April, Kick Off at 7.30.
