Heath Under 23’s completed their away fixtures with a 2-1 win at Oakwood. Heath started well and came close to scoring on 6 minutes when Eugene Moteane split the defence with a pass between two defenders that allowed Keanin Louw to fire a right foot shot that flew narrowly over the crossbar, and on 25 minutes Moteane struck a left foot shot high over the crossbar after a good interchange of passes between Theo Imperiale, Adam Duneclift and Moteane.
The deadlock was broken on 31 minutes when Moteane played the ball forward to Louw who struck a fierce right foot shot from 30 yards that looked to be covered by the Oakwood goalkeeper who went down early to gather but the ball took a dreadful bounce and flew over the keeper into the net.
Heath doubled their lead minutes before the break when a free kick was awarded some 30 yards from goal, up-stepped Charlie Mark to strike a right foot beauty over the wall into the top right corner to make it 0-2 at the break.
Heath had chances to increase their lead in the second period but were at times guilty of over-playing, taking an extra touch when it’s not needed. Moteane came close with a left foot shot straight at the keeper and Felipe Gomes-Ramos fired a shot wide of the post.
Against the run of play, in the final minutes of the match the hosts pulled a goal back on the counter attack when the ball was played up to their No.9 who ran through to strike a low right foot shot past Ollie Courtney to complete the scoring.
