Next Up for "The Bears" Home v Hastings United

At the BodyMould Community Stadium on Saturday 11th April. K.O. 3pm

Next up for the Bears is a Pitching In Isthmian League South East Division match when we welcome Hastings United to the BodyMould Community Stadium on Saturday 11th April.

It’s fair to say that Hastings United have not had the best of season’s and they currently sit in 17th position in the division just 4 points above the relegation places and with three games remaining they will be determined to take all 3 points to help them avoid the dreaded drop into Step 5 football.

Hastings last played on Saturday when they lost 1-2 at home to Ashford United with Max Walsh on target for “The U’s” but their striker, James Stone was shown a red card in the 95th minute and will be suspended for the match.

The two sides have already met twice this season with Broadbridge Heath winning on both occasions, in the league match at “The Pilot Field” on the 21st October a late Zac Young goal was enough to give “The Bears” a 2-1 win with Louis Evans also on target for Heath and Walter Figueira scoring for the home-side.

The next meeting of the clubs was the following month on the 18th November in the Sussex Senior Challenge Cup when goals from Callum Dowdell (2), Jake Lawrence (2) and Zac Young helped “The Bears” to a 5-1 home win with Figueira again on target for “The U’s”.

Broadbridge Heath were last in action last Saturday when we travelled to “The Greatness Park” home of Sevenoaks Town FC and after a somewhat forgettable first half “The Bears” turned on the style in the second period to come away with all 3 points in a 2-1 win coming back from 1-0 down, goals from Jay Richardson, his first for the club and Zac Young his 25th of the season completed a hat-trick of winning league matches at Sevenoaks.
