Match Report: BBH Women vs Pagham Women
This weekend saw our women’s team kick off their busy November schedule — the first of six fixtures this month — with a tough league encounter home to Pagham Women.
From the first whistle, it was an even contest, with both sides working hard to gain control but finding few clear-cut chances in front of goal. Defences were well-organised, and the game looked destined for a draw as it entered the closing stages.
Unfortunately, Pagham managed to steal all three points late on, scoring directly from a corner in the final five minutes to seal a narrow 1–0 victory.
Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take. Player of the Match went to Milene Scott, who was outstanding between the posts. Acting as a superb sweeper keeper, she read the game brilliantly — quick off her line to clear danger, commanding in her box, and constantly communicating with her defence.
The team now turns their focus to the League Cup, with a home tie against Eastbourne Town on Sunday 9th November.
The squad will be looking to bounce back with a strong performance in front of the home crowd.
