Next up for the Bears is a Pitching In Isthmian League South-East Division match when we welcome division leaders Cray Valley (PM) to the BodyMould Community Stadium on Saturday 30th March.
This will be our third meeting of the season with Cray Valley (PM). We first met at the Artic Stadium on the 26th August, our first away match in the Isthmian League and we came away with a creditable 2-2 draw having twice come from behind, our goals were scored by Jake Lindsey in the 30th minutes and a penalty from skipper Ryan Brackpool in the 82nd minute. Our second meeting, just 13-days later, in the FA Trophy ended in defeat for the Bears with the visitors scoring in each half to go through by 2-0.
Cray Valley (PM) have had a really good season so far, currently in pole position for promotion having just missed out last season and they’ve had a very useful cup run too. I’m sure most of us watched their televised FA Cup campaign against Charlton, cheering them on from the comfort of our front room, drawing 1-1 at the Valley before losing the replay at home by 1-6. In the league the Millers have a 100% record having won all 15 of their away league games so we can expect another really tough match on Saturday.
For those travelling there is FREE Parking next to the Stadium.
